Offering and Trading Bribes
On EarlyFans, a fan can offer a bribe to a creator. Other fans will start bidding on the bribe on a bonding curve. A bidder will either win profit in ETH or the bribe itself. If the bribe is accepted, the winner will enter a chat with the creator to fulfill the bribe. If the bribe is rejected or expired, funds are returned to all bidders.
How to Offer a Bribe
Tap the '+' icon and tap 'Offer A Bribe'.
Describe the bribe, what would you like the creator to do for you?
Choose the creator you are bribing.
Set an initial price, if other fans also bid on the bribe, the price will increase on a bonding curve.
The default bidding period is 48 hours within which the creator can accept or reject the bribe, expired bribes are considered as rejected.
Submit and approve the transaction. The bribed creator will receive a notification that you offered a bribe.
How to Trade a Bribe
Find a bribe and click 'Steal' if you want to take it away from the current briber.
Once the transaction is approved, you become the current briber.
If there is a another bidder after you, you will earn 45% from the price increase if the bribe is eventually accepted.
If the bribe is accepted, all bidders and the bribed creator will earn their corresponding profit as indicated in the bribe details page. The winner of the bribe will enter a private chat with the creator to fulfill the bribe.
If the bribe is rejected, all bidders will get their funds back and the creator will not earn any revenue.
An expired bribe has the same effect as a rejected bribe.
Profit allocation happens automatically whenever there is a new bid, but profit can only be withdrawn once the bribe is accepted, rejected or expired.
